Special thanks to Cookware.com for hosting yet another giveaway here on Cheftessbakeresse! It took me forever to decide this one based on the amazing recipes and tips from all who entered. However...


We have a winner for the Nesco 18 Qt. Non-Stick Roaster Oven! The one that caught my attention however was a flavor combination that I have long adored when preparing chicken and turkey...prunes and rosemary! That coupled with Dr. Pepper and apples had me completely excited to roast a big fat turkey buzzard! So...this is it right here. Our winner:

"My weird family uses Dr. Pepper....yes, Dr. Pepper to brine the turkey the night before roasting it. In the bottom of the roaster we always put a cup of the Dr Pepper, so the steam will help flavor the bird. And, we are of the *cook the stuffing separate* crew. Instead, family tradition is to cut up one Granny Smith apple in large chunks and get four pitted prunes and stuff those in the bird along with a sprig or two of rosemary.
Told ya my family was weird...but that turkey sure tastes yummy when done!"
