Oldies...

Sunday is the day I share a little of my soul. Enjoy.
This week we found a lot of old family videos and in the evenings we'd put in one or two tapes and let the kids see themselves. I have random family photos that I adore. I has been a while but I can't believe how odd it was to go back and actually see the expressions on the faces and hear the voices of the kids when they could not speak, read, or express themselves like they do now. It has been a very reminiscent week.
It has been a reminder to me that this life is so sweet, so precious and so fleeting. I wonder if we'll get to the end of our lives and get to see the movie? Will we want to see it? I'm thankful today for a Loving God who's great at edits...and forgiving me. I'm thankful for each new day. I don't remember the meals we had or the struggles behind the scenes. There were hints of the struggles... but the laughter of the baby and the dancing of the older son spoke too loudly to my heart. Lord, I hope that's how it always will be.

There it is.
Always My Very Best,
Your Friend Chef Tess
