Several Painted Loaves and buns for the benefit...

I had a lot of fun decorating bread today for a bake sale this weekend. It's a benefit for a family who recently lost their six day old baby. Here's a peek at some of the fun.

First up...butterfly buns. I don't know any little girl or mom on earth who wouldn't love these at a birthday party.

Waves...or squiggles...whatever you call them, they look cool.

I probably could have done a lot more, but I hope this will help a little. I know if it was my baby I would want all the help I could get.
There you go.

I'd buy it! I haven't the faintest idea how to paint bread.

I've just come to your site and I've been looking at your decorative breads. They are really beautiful! You've inspired me to try painting my next loaf (I usually stick with braiding and accessories such as nuts and raisins).
